Modeling isn’t totally done on the accessories, but I decided to move on and texture a bit. I’m happy with the direction my body texture is headed. Right now I’m just using the 3D paint tool to lay out where the skin should be; once I’m done i plan on refining the edges and creating a softer skin-to-scales transition. I’m really pleased with the fin texture I came up with, which is entirely procedural. The body texture is procedural, except for the alpha channel that’s creating the swirly pattern.
I may tone down the orange, I can’t really decide! It may feel a little busy even without accessories.
