Here’s a peek at a script I’ve been working on this weekend. I really didn’t want to make separate shaders for each of the books in my desk scene, and this isn’t the first time I’d wished Maya had a random color shader, so I decided to build one. I’m focusing on UI options that provide versatility, like the ability to change the number of random colors:
and the ability to control the color range:
All within one shader. All of the implemented features are fully functional. I plan on messing around with adding a few more options, and then I’ll probably post the script in its entirety as well as a video.
